Email marketing services: from strategy to automated flows

Email marketing is systematic work with an audience you already own — segmentation, automated flows and regular campaigns that bring customers back to a repeat purchase. inseed builds the channel from scratch or fixes an existing one: strategy, technical deliverability, copy, design and reporting that shows revenue rather than opens.

What email marketing does — and what it doesn't

Email works on

Repeat purchase, retention and staying present at the moment a need appears. It is an owned-audience channel: it speaks to people who already know you — subscribers, buyers, leads who left a contact.

Email does not do on its own

Bring new customers in from the market. Penetration growth is the job of reach channels: paid media, search and social. Email picks up their result and converts it into repeat business.

This view follows the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute’s work on penetration versus loyalty and Binet & Field on the brand/activation split — the same framework we use to plan every channel.

Who email marketing is for

Ecommerce

Repeat purchase and abandoned carts are the shortest paths to revenue from a list. See digital marketing for ecommerce.

B2B and long consideration cycles

The lead isn't buying today, but a nurture sequence can carry them to a decision.

Education and courses

Intakes, cohorts and pre-launch warm-up; email is usually the primary sales channel.

SaaS and subscriptions

Onboarding, activation, renewal, win-back.

Media and content projects

A digest is the cheapest way to bring a reader back without depending on social algorithms.

What the service includes

We review the list, sending history, deliverability and analytics, then deliver a channel strategy: segments, communication map, goals and metrics.
Signup forms, lead magnets, double opt-in, segments by behaviour, recency and lifecycle stage. We work only with consented lists — never purchased ones.
A campaign calendar, copy per segment, subject lines and preheaders built for testing.
Responsive templates that render correctly in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and mobile clients.
Events, conditions, delays and exit rules configured inside your sending platform.
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, a dedicated sending subdomain, domain warm-up, list hygiene, complaint and unsubscribe handling.
Sending platform connected to GA4 and your CRM, with a report showing delivery, clicks, conversions and revenue. Analytics is a discipline of its own: web analytics.

Email is planned inside the strategy

Not sold as a standalone add-on.

Evidence-based approach

Decisions follow published research, not preference; our founder teaches on the marketing master's programme at UCU.

Reporting that shows revenue

Not just opens.

How much does email marketing cost?

Cost depends on scope: the number of segments, flows and monthly campaigns. After a brief we send a proposal with scope and price. The sending platform is billed separately, directly by the provider.

How long until results?

Trigger flows — abandoned cart, welcome — start producing within weeks of launch, because they react to behaviour that is already happening. A systematic lift in channel revenue is a 3–6 month question: it needs data for segmentation and testing.

Can you send to a purchased list?

No. It breaches personal-data requirements and, practically, is the fastest way to collect spam complaints and ruin your domain reputation — after which your email stops reaching your own customers too. We work only with consented lists.

Which sending platform do you use?

SendPulse primarily; also Mailchimp, GetResponse, eSputnik and Selzy. If you already have one, we work in it.

Do we need a separate sending domain?

For bulk campaigns we recommend a dedicated subdomain, so sending reputation doesn't affect your business mail. SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup is included.

What if the list is old and nobody opens?

We run a re-engagement sequence against the inactive segment, then cleanly remove whoever doesn't respond. A smaller clean list delivers better than a large dead one.

Do you write the copy and design the emails?

Yes — copy, design and build are included. If you have an in-house writer or a brand guide, we work with them.

Which metrics do you report?

Delivery, clicks, conversions and channel revenue, plus unsubscribes and complaints. We show opens but don't draw conclusions from them: since 2021 Apple Mail Privacy Protection pre-fetches tracking pixels, so open rate is inflated and not comparable across lists. Decisions follow clicks and conversions.

Can we buy setup only, without ongoing management?

Yes — a one-off project: strategy, technical setup, templates and flows, then your team runs the channel. We hand over documentation and access.
